Annual Sports Day – 2020
The Sant Nirankari Public High School, Durgapur celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 23rd January on the sprawling grounds of the school.
The programme began with the welcome ceremony of the Chief-Guest, Mr. Nemai Chand Show (Member Of CMC & Zonal -In-charge, Burdwan), Mr.Anil Sood (Zonal -In-charge, Ranchi),and Mr.Rupam Ghosh(Secretary, Rotary Club,Durgapur). A melodious welcome song was rendered by the choir . The event was followed by flag-hoisting, lighting the torch and march past. Mr. Nemai Chand Show,the Chief-Guest, presided over the oath-taking ceremony and declared the Sports-Meet open. At the same day he also inaugurated our newly built cycle stand for the students.(Photo Attached).
Approximately 200 students were participated in the customized and fun-filled track and field events. The most intriguing aspect of the event was the splendid saree-drill, mass drill, drama, gymnastics and aerobics.
Prerna House(Red) won the trophy for the best March Past. Prakash House (Yellow) won the Relay Race. Pragati House (Green) and Preet House(Blue) were showered with Participation Certificates.
The zealous parents gathered in large numbers and constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars.
